The Grinnell Legacy Society

Overview

The Grinnell Legacy Society honors our members and friends who have generously named the National Audubon Society as a beneficiary in their estate plans. If you would like to learn how you can leave a legacy to Audubon, or if you have already included the National Audubon Society in your plans, please contact us so that we may welcome you into the Grinnell Legacy Society.

How to Join

The following types of commitments, confirmed in writing and subject to certain restrictions, qualify you for membership in the Grinnell Legacy Society:

If you have already included the National Audubon Society in a bequest or other planned gift, we hope you will let us know by telling us about your gift. Your willingness to be listed as a member of the Grinnell Legacy Society encourages others to follow your example. We acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to let us know of your plans on a confidential basis. If you have not yet included Audubon in your plans and you would like to explore the best options for you and your family, do not hesitate to contact us. We would be glad to provide a confidential forum to discuss your options without any obligation.

Benefits of Membership

In an effort to preserve your legacy for the purpose it is intended, we have chosen a few simple ways to recognize your commitment. Each new member will receive a letter of thanks from the President of the National Audubon Society, an ongoing subscription to Audubon magazine, and will be eligible to receive our attractive Audubon Engagement Calendar each year.

In addition to these small expressions of gratitude, we hope you will allow us to recognize you as a member of the Grinnell Legacy Society in our annual donor recognition publication. Lastly, as a member of the Grinnell Legacy Society, you will receive timely information, tips, and ongoing service from the Office of Gift Planning.
