The Campaign for Audubon

Building The Nest For What's Next.

For nearly 120 years, Audubon has been the planet’s leading voice in protecting birds and their habitats. Bequests and estate gifts are essential to fuel our work.

To help realize our next 100-year vision, we are leveraging a generous $1 million bequest to inspire others to leave a lasting legacy.

When you let us know that Audubon is in your estate plans with a value estimated in today’s dollars, we will release 10% of that amount from our donor’s gift for immediate use, up to a maximum of $10,000.

If you’re considering Audubon in your estate plans – or if you’ve already made arrangements – let us know today so we can ensure your gift will qualify. Your information is confidential and not legally binding.

With your help, we can reach our goal of $45 million by December 31, 2022.

How to Participate:

  1. Name Audubon in your will, living trust, or as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or financial account. Previously established bequest plans also qualify.
  2. Document your gift intention with Audubon.
  3. While Legacy Challenge funds are still available, Audubon will allocate up to $10,000 in challenge funds (10% of your bequest value) to advance today’s important work.

Choose an estate plan that is right for you.

Using your will or trust:

“I give (dollar amount or % of estate) to the National Audubon Society, Inc., a not-for-profit organization with its principal offices located at 225 Varick St, 7th floor, New York, NY 10014. Tax ID # 13-1624102.”

Optional: “This gift shall be directed to Audubon programs in the state of __________ .”

Using beneficiary designations of your retirement plan or financial accounts:

Contact your account manager and ask to update your beneficiaries. You can designate all or a percentage of your account.
